WINTER IN THE REDWOODS RETURNS MARCH 13, 2010 College of the Redwoods, Mendocino Coast is delighted to announce that Winter in the Redwoods, the premier scholarship benefit for local students, is returning on Saturday, March 13, 2010 after an absence of four years. Once again the campus will twinkle with tiny lights and transform into a winter wonderland. “We’re looking forward to welcoming our generous coastal community for a special evening in support of student scholarships,” stated Geisce Ly, Dean. “It promises to be a fun filled celebration!” The event will feature music from Earl Oliver & Friends (aka the Groovinators) and the Queen Jane Swingtet, along with Mendocino County wines, a full bar, scrumptious food and Silent Auction treasures donated by Mendocino County wineries, artists and businesses from the whimsical to the practical. Event co-chair, Christine Schomer, has planned a delicious menu of finger foods to compliment the food stations being offered by Café Beaujolais and Little River Inn. Harvest Market will once again feature their dessert station of delectable treats, which will surely thrill returning guests as well as newcomers. Tickets for Winter in the Redwoods are on sale at Harvest Market, Edgewater Gallery, North Star Nursery and the college. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door and include two drink tickets, plus fabulous food and fun. For further information contact Marcia Williams at 962-2606. |
